CDJ tutorials
Welcome, welcome!
Although this section is very much a now well deserved part of this site if you are after lowdown on CDJs you may find it more beneficial to start hereand pop back to this bit later. This will also tie in with the beatmatching tutorials and the principal is exactly the same. You just apply it to the CDJ rather than onto a turntable. Start/Stop button and pitches. A slight variance needed but all will be explained. The theory is the same only the equipment has changed.
For those vinyl purists or those DJs with relatively little CDJ experience (I include myself here at the time of writing) this may be worth a look for you too.
These tutorials were responsible for many years of me denying CDJs ever existed and opened what I like to call my "Journey of Digital Conversion" !
A great big thanks to "Funked Up" in Leicester, UK, for allowing me access to his humble abode, for permission to take photos and stuff and generally annoy him at weekends.

Equipment Used
With Technics being seen by most as the DJ industry standard, the Pioneer CDJ1000 Mk II holds the same crown in the CDJ world. I will be showcasing this although various CDJ models by various manufacturers will have have similar or even arguably better or different functions available (maybe effects etc.) These tutorials will show you not only how to use the basic functions of a CDJ (which can be applied to any make/model) but also the more advanced features looping and hot cueing. A video demo will be available to link all the tutorial into a series of applied examples. mixing several skills together. Where there isn't that option sound files will available as normal.
